What is this Azonto thing anyway?

For the last few years, a new dance craze called Azonto has popped onto the Ghanaian music scene and has been making waves across West Africa and beyond. It's in Jamestown, Accra, among the fishing community that the communicative dance was born. It reflects the creativity and sense of humour of the Ghanaian people, and it involves movement of the feet, hands, and hips. Since then, Azonto fever has gripped diaspora communities in the USA, UK and as far as Australia with some artists even flying over to Ghana to learn the moves.
